This 1/750 timber model of the Taunton Cattlemarket was built as part of a redevelopment scheme by BDP Architects. Water is represented a number of ways on subtle small-scale models such as this; here, a sheet of thin acrylic has been backsprayed with tinted lacquer and laid over veneer. The combination of the pure gloss of the acrylic, the green tint and the fine wood grain still visible through it, is subtle and effective.
