Amalgam Display were asked by Charterhouse to create some giant replica watches, 1 meter long with working mechanisms. These were displayed in a UK wide promotion in 400 Orange mobile phone shops throughout the UK, in time for their Christmas 2010 promotion for LTD watches. The intention was for the watches to be given away to make novel wall clocks after the promotion, this would also ensure that waste would be kept to a minimum.
